Former US Vice President Joe Biden and a possible Democratic candidate in the upcoming US presidential election on Tuesday called for President Donald Trump to be held accountable for his removal.
"Donald Trump has taken the oath of office when he took office, misled this nation and brought actions to be held accountable," Biden said in a campaign speech in full view of the world and the American people.
"Trump must be held accountable for our constitution, our democracy and our integrity," Biden said.
On Saturday, Biden published an article in The Washington Post in which Trump vowed to defeat in the presidential election.
The US House of Representatives is investigating Trump's abuse of power over the details of a telephone conversation with his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelinsky in July, in which Trump demanded a reopening of the investigation into Hunter Biden, which would affect Joe Biden's chances in the election and could lead to the removal of the Republican president.
