The youth dialogue sessions in the Syrian universities, which were supervised by the Executive Office of the National Union of Syrian Students, ended today, discussing issues related to identity and belonging and promoting the concepts of participatory and dialogue.

At the sessions held at the conference hall of the University of Damascus, Dr. Karim Abu Halawa, professor of political science at the University of Damascus, gave a presentation on the concepts of identity and belonging and their elements and their formulas and how to express them under the circumstances that Syria is going through.

Emad Al-Omar, member of the executive office of the National Union of Syrian Students and head of the institutes office, stressed the importance of reaching a joint youth vision that contributes to the solution of the problems and negative effects of the war on Syria.

Noor Nasser Yousef, a master of science student called for deepening national belonging and attracting young people to hold on to their identity and belonging, pointing to the importance of expanding the youth dialogue sessions with political leaders and working to redraft new labor laws for the renaissance of Syria.

At the University of Tartous, a teacher at the Faculty of Economics, Dr. Zulfiqar Abboud, explained that social concern is the most concerned by the youth category, where they addressed ideas about reconstruction.

Yousef Al Ali, a member of the leadership of the student union branch in Idlib, said that these sessions contributed to enhancing the entrepreneurial spirit among young people and motivating them towards entrepreneurship, innovating ideas and suggesting suitable solutions to all problems and challenges facing them.

At the University of Al-Furat, Dr. Adnan Al-Owaid stressed the importance of discussing the topics of national belonging and enhancing the concepts regarding participation and dialogue among the youth who are the main pillar in the society. For his part, the head of the student union branch in Al-Hasakah, Alaa Eddin Al-Talaa, said that the aim of holding the youth sessions has been achieved and we have reaped positive results reflected in the image of dialogue and opinions.

The student at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Mehdi Al-Kanaan described the experience as great, while the student at the Faculty of Science Mohammed Al-Badri stressed the need to improve the state of citizenship and rooting in the soil of the country, especially at this stage.

At the University of Aleppo, Dr. Mohammad Qasim Al-Abdullah of the Department of Mental Health in the Faculty of Education that today's sessions included important issues and points are practical strategies in the field of education and awareness.

Ammar Kada, head of Aleppo University branch of the National Union of Syrian Students, stressed the importance of the great role of the youth of Syria in the universities and work sites to consolidate the concept of dialogue and promote it.

Khalid Dandal of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering said that the successful dialogue is based on several points, including good listening and presenting the reforms related to the dialogue in a simple and clear and achieve positive results.

The three-day youth dialogue sessions at Syrian universities aim at discussing political, economic and social issues and exchanging ideas that contribute to the challenges posed by the terrorist war in order to reach important indicators and conclusions that can be built upon in the plans and projects related to the present and future of youth.
