(CNN) - The former US vice president Joe Biden on Wednesday called for the impeachment of President Donald Trump for the first time at a rally in Rochester, New Hampshire.
“With his words and his actions, President Trump has accused himself of obstructing justice, refusing to comply with the Congress investigation. He has already condemned himself in view of the world and the American people, ”said Biden.
“Donald Trump has violated his oath of office, betrayed this nation and committed prosecutable acts. You know, to preserve our Constitution, our democracy. Our basic integrity I should be charged. ”
Biden has been at the center of the Ukrainian controversy. Trump has repeated an unproven accusation that says Biden was trying to improperly help his son Hunter, who was on the board of directors of a Ukrainian natural gas company, when the then vice president pressured the Ukrainian government to fire the prosecutor General of the country.
There is no evidence of irregularities by Joe or Hunter Biden.

"I did nothing wrong": Trump responds to Joe Biden
President Trump has called the ex-president Biden's call for a political trial as "pathetic." The president turned to Twitter after Biden asked for Trump's impeachment process.
"And I didn't do anything wrong," Trump tweeted. "Joe's failed campaign gave him no choice!"
So pathetic to see Sleepy Joe Biden, who with his son, Hunter, and to the detriment of the American Taxpayer, has ripped off at least two countries for millions of dollars, calling for my impeachment - and I did nothing wrong. Joe's Failing Campaign gave him no other choice!
