(CNN Spanish) - The campaign team of the former president of the Dominican Republic Leonel Fernández, presidential candidate for the Dominican Liberation Party, said that the primary elections must be annulled on the grounds that they were manipulated.
In a digital presentation to the media, César Fernández, a member of the executive leadership of the Fernández team, said that at least 671 tables, the results from the electronic scrutiny record were transmitted in a segmented manner and at different times, when they had to arrive simultaneously, according to Fernández.
They claim that this evidences a manipulation of the data, which could only prove with a forensic audit the program used in the process.

The president of the board, Julio César castaños, said that “it is an automated voting system with transmission of results that has no doubtful elements and that can be perfectly confronted”
According to data from the electoral board, two political organizations and eleven presidential candidates participated in the process; Only Fernández has reported anomalies.
