The first stone of the future Brest headquarters of Orange was laid this Wednesday, October 9, 2019. The future building of 4,350 m², located road Gouesnou, is resolutely ecological. Orange will occupy two floors, while the financial and technical organization company (Soft), the real estate developer who is responsible for the construction of the building, will install its Brest headquarters on the top floor.
The building is built in a high environmental quality (HQE) approach. "This building will present a large number of innovations in the ecological field, says the manufacturer. The roof terrace will be covered with 400 m² of photovoltaic cells, trees, the number of which will correspond to the parking spaces, will be planted to offset the carbon footprint of parked vehicles. "
Daily energy consumption will be monitored, the building will not be equipped with air conditioning, 95% of the paintings will be bio sourced, with a binder based on Plouguerneau seaweed.
For Orange, these new premises will allow it to consolidate all of its services. "We wanted the greatest number of trades in this building, " said Pierre Jacobs, Orange Director for the West.
