New York-Oslo-Sana

The five European members of the UN Security Council today called on the Turkish regime to stop its aggression on Syrian territory.

The five European countries - France, Germany, Belgium, Britain and Poland - called for a halt to Turkey's unilateral military action in Syria in a statement after a closed-door emergency meeting, AFP quoted UN diplomats as saying.

The statement pointed out that the Turkish aggression against Syria threatens to facilitate the emergence of the Islamic State terrorist organization again, which remains a major threat to regional, international and European security, pointing out that the so-called "safe area" planned by the Turkish regime in northern Syria is not in line with international standards.

The statement stressed that any attempt to achieve demographic change will be rejected.

The European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker yesterday called on the Turkish regime to stop its aggression against Syria, denouncing the plans of this system to establish a so-called "safe area" in northern Syria, said: "If Turkey's plans include the establishment of the so-called safe area, it should not expect the EU to pay Any money on this. ”

On the other hand, Norway announced today the suspension of export of any new arms shipment to the Turkish regime after the aggression on northeastern Syria.

Norwegian Foreign Minister Ayna Eriksen Sørde told AFP: "The Foreign Ministry will not consider in the context of a preventive action any requests to export defense equipment and equipment of various uses to Turkey until further notice," noting that her country is currently reviewing all export licenses in force.

Finland also announced yesterday the suspension of the export of any new arms shipment to the Turkish regime against the backdrop of its aggression on Syrian territory.

Turkish regime forces launched an aggression on Syrian territory in Hasake and Raqqa in parallel with targeting several villages and towns in the two governorates, focusing on infrastructure and vital facilities such as water and electricity stations, dams, oil installations and residential neighborhoods, causing the death of a number of civilians and causing extensive damage and destruction of infrastructure.
