The citizen university in health and prevention offers humanistic university degrees. Such is the person-centered care.

The third session begins in January 2020. "It is open to anyone wishing to acquire information and training in basic prevention," said Professor Christian Berthou, dean of the faculty of medicine, which hosts "the citizen university in Health and Prevention (UCSP) ". Over six months, two Tuesdays a month, it can accommodate twenty people in continuing education. "A day will be dedicated to the actions that save," says Dr. Nourredine Chahir, director of Samu. New: the training will be open to a dozen students of 3rd year in science of sport and education.

This new and innovative training focuses on a more "empathetic" approach to medicine. "To help carers or health professionals to accompany and respect the person in pain and those close to him," explains Professor Michel Botbol, a psychiatrist at the CHRU. Classes will run from January to November 2020, every other Friday.

In 2020, the Faculty of Medicine plans to create a DU "in charge of prevention in health", a profession "that does not exist in France" because "we prefer to cure rather than preventative, as in the north from Europe ". This training would be aimed at health professionals, to make prevention in healthcare systems. To reach a maximum of people at the national level, this training could be offered remotely, via e-learning, via the internet.
