Newsroom, the podcast of interviews of personalities invited by the editorial board of Ouest-France, offers you a meeting with actor and director Jacques Perrin. In this podcast, he talks about his love of the oceans, which fascinates him with the City of the Sea of Cherbourg and the message he wishes to deliver to the youth.
On October 15, 2019, the Cité de la Mer organizes roundtables on oceans in Cherbourg in the presence of prestigious speakers and 2000 young Normans. Jacques Perrin, actor and director aged 78, was to be one of them but he is stuck in Paris with a bad back pain. A strong supporter of the oceans, he is one of the ambassadors of the Cité de la Mer and has agreed to sponsor this day.
Passionate about the big blue since his childhood, especially during holidays in Granville, he then followed, in the 60s and 70s, lamparo fishermen in the Mediterranean.
More recently, in 2009, he directed several films with Jacques Cluzaud, including Oceans, an ode to underwater wildlife. It was on this occasion that he met the patron of the City of the Sea, Bernard Cauvin, who invited him to come and shoot in this mythical place of the transatlantic era. From there was born a great friendship between the two men.
For the opening of the new scenography of the Cité de la Mer, he agreed to answer the questions of our correspondent in Cherbourg, Emmanuelle Lemesle.
In this Podcast, Jacques Perrin tells of his love of the oceans, which he is passionate about with the Cherbourg City of the Sea and the message he wants to deliver to the youth.
