The member states of the European Union have decided to remove Switzerland from their "gray" list of tax havens.
The decision was expected. This Thursday, the 28 Member States of the European Union removed Switzerland from the "gray list " of tax havens. They now believe that Bern "complies with all the commitments on fiscal cooperation" .
A bad student in tax matters, Switzerland was part of the "gray list " of tax havens in the European Union since its creation on December 5, 2017. It brings together countries that have committed to modify their tax systems to bring them up to standard European.
33 'under surveillance' countries are still on this list: Albania, Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Armenia, Australia, Bahamas, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Botswana, Cape Verde, Costa Rica, Curacao, Eswatini (formerly Swaziland), Cayman Islands, Cook Islands, British Virgin Islands, Jordan, Maldives, Morocco, Mauritius, Mongolia, Montenegro, Namibia, Nauru, Niue, Palau, North Macedonia, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Serbia, Seychelles, Thailand, Turkey and Vietnam.
