[Geneva 9th Reuters]-UK troop international trade minister said US President Trump's WTO reform request if the country left the European Union (EU) and became a single member of the World Trade Organization (WTO) He said he would support it. He also revealed his intention to oppose protectionism.
In the WTO, the EU was the UK representative. If Britain leaves the EU, it will join the WTO alone.
Mr. Truss said in a local lecture, “President Trump has said he wants the WTO to be in line with the current era and agrees with it.”
He further clarified, "We support genuine free trade and do not hesitate to fight protectionist forces."
