The Defense Ministry deployed the PAC3 ground-based interceptor missile on the 11th in Ichigaya, Tokyo. North Korea has repeated missile launches since May this year, and it seems that it has strengthened vigilance following the launch of a new submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM) on May 2.
According to the Ministry of Defense, it was always deployed in the province, but since July last year, PAC 3 units have been withdrawn from the relief of tensions at the US-North Korea summit.
Regarding this new development, Defense Minister Taro Kono said at the conference after the cabinet meeting on that day that he would like to refrain from publicly discussing the operation of the unit.
