[10th Reuters]-The US Centers for Disease Control (CDC) on the 10th, a total of 26 deaths from unknown pulmonary diseases associated with electronic cigarettes and other aspiration products called vapors, Reported 1299 cases. As of last week, there were 18 cases and 1080 cases, respectively.
As of October 8, there have been confirmed deaths in 21 states.
Officials have called for the cessation of use of vapour, especially those containing THC in marijuana.
Some states, such as New York, Michigan, and Rhode Island, prohibit the sale of flavored electronic cigarettes. Massachusetts ordered a four-month suspension of all vaping products, and last week a federal court judge dismissed an industry alleged ban on sales prohibition.
On the sales side, Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group Holding <BABA.N> announced on September 9 that it will stop selling electronic tobacco-related parts in the United States. Previously, retailers Kroger <KR.N>, Walmart <WMT.N>, and drugstore chain giant Walgreen Boot Alliance <WBA.O> have stopped selling their vapours.
In addition, Washington State Governor Jay Insley called on state authorities to ban flavored or marijuana-derived baking products.
