The head of the Czech Parliamentary Friendship Group with Syria, Stanislav Grosbic, stressed that the aggression launched by the Turkish regime on Syrian territory represents a blatant violation of international law and the UN Charter.
`` The Turkish regime's claims that it aims to protect the interests of the Syrians are false and is a top cynicism because it wants to cover up its expansionist plans in the territory of a sovereign state, the practice of terrorism against civilians, the protection of terrorist organizations, the theft of internal wealth and Syrian antiquities, '' Grosbic told SANA in Prague today.
He stressed that the Turkish regime bears responsibility through its current aggression for the human and material losses it causes.
Grosbic reiterated his full support for the legitimate demands of Syria to respect its sovereignty, territorial integrity and the exit of all foreign forces illegally and without the consent of the Syrian government, stressing that only the Syrian people decide their political future.
