Will a Kenya coalition be governed in Saxony in the future? The Saxon Greens voted by a large majority at their party congress to start the coalition negotiations with the CDU and SPD. This clears the way for discussions. The governing bodies of the CDU and SPD in the Free State had already voted on Friday evening to start negotiations.
The Saxon Union was in the state election on 1 September with 32.1 percent of the second votes strongest force before the AfD (27.5 percent). Behind them rank left (10.4), green (8.6) and SPD (7.7). The CDU had categorically ruled out coalitions with the Left and the AfD even before the election. Party researchers see Union, Greens and SPD therefore condemned to success.
A 13-page exploratory paper has already set numerous goals, as well as positions where there is disagreement. As things stand, the coalition negotiations will start on the week of 21 October. So far governs a trio of Green Party, SPD and CDU exclusively in Saxony-Anhalt.
