The Israeli occupation authorities announced today a new settlement plan to establish 251 housing units in the West Bank city of Bethlehem and seize dozens of dunums of Palestinian land in the town of Nahalin west of the city.
The director of the resistance to the wall and settlement in Bethlehem, Hassan Brigieh told WAFA that the occupation authorities announced a plan to establish 251 new settlement units on Palestinian land in Bethlehem, 146 of them to expand the settlement south of the city and 105 units to expand the settlement east.
He added that the Israeli occupation forces have seized dozens of dunams from the lands of Nahalin, west of Bethlehem, to expand a settlement on Palestinian land in the area.
In the context of its Judaic and aggressive plans for the displacement of Palestinians, the Israeli occupation authorities stepped up the settlement operations in the West Bank, ignoring the international resolutions confirming the illegality of settlement in the occupied Palestinian territories and demanding that it be stopped.
