Polling stations opened in Tunisia today for the second round of presidential elections in the country, in which two candidates are running: independent Qais Said and Nabil Karoui, head of the Heart of Tunisia Party.
According to the Tunis-Africa News Agency (TAP), 7 million Tunisian voters were invited to the polls today to choose a new president for a five-year term.
The two Tunisian candidates competing for the post of President Said and Karoui led the results of the first round of the presidential elections held on September 15, in which neither of them was able to obtain 50 percent of the votes.
