(CNN Spanish) - 14 police officers died in an attack in Aguililla, Michoacán, the Ministry of Public Security of the Government of Mexico reported on its Twitter account on Monday.
The Ministry of Public Security of the state of Michoacán detailed in the same social network that the agents were fulfilling a judicial mandate in the municipality.
CNN is trying to contact the State Secretariat to learn more details of the attack.
The Ministry of Public Security explained that it made available to the state authorities "all human and technological resources to find the aggressors and bring them to justice."
