(CNN Spanish) - On Sunday night the Government of Ecuador and the indigenous leaders reached an agreement: the controversial decree 883 that unleashed the crisis will be without effect and will be replaced by a new one.

The president of Ecuador, Lenín Moreno, described the agreement as "a solution for peace and for the country," and said the new decree will contain "the mechanisms to focus resources on those who need it most."

Amid celebrations, the Confederation of Indigenous Nationalities of Ecuador (CONAIE) called for cleaning the streets on Monday morning.

The UN reported that the technical table has nine spokespersons appointed by indigenous peoples and nationalities and six spokesmen for the Government. Conversations will not be transmitted online.

Both delegations agreed that the conversation be without online transmission so that any information about what is being discussed is not authorized or has any real basis. 2/2

One of the first to react to the agreement reached after 11 days of demonstrations in Ecuador was the questioned president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, who congratulated the Ecuadorian people for achieving “a historic victory against the IMF”.
