[Stockholm 14th Reuters]-The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences announced on the 14th that the Nobel Prize in Economics will be awarded to Abidit Banazy, Estelle Dufro and Michael Klemer. All three were based in the United States and were recognized for helping millions of children in favor of practicing poverty alleviation rather than theory.

Duflo and Banagie are professors at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Mr. Cremer is a professor at Harvard University.

The academy pointed out that the research results of the three people proved that the poverty problem could be dealt with in a more detailed and precise manner in the fields of education and medicine. Concretely, it included efforts such as individual tutoring at Indian schools and calls to governments around the world to expand spending on preventive drugs.

Duflo is the second woman and the youngest award at 46. In a telephone interview with a reporter team, “The starting point is that the poor people have been caricatured, and even those who want to help them do not understand what the various problems are rooted in. “What we are trying to do is to subdivide problems one by one and solve them as thoroughly and scientifically as possible.”

In addition, the three quickly applied the research method called “Randomized Comparative Study (RTC)” such as the double-blind method used in the medical field to development economics, and provided textbooks and free meals. Although it is less effective, fieldwork has shown that the overall level of education can be greatly improved by providing targeted support to students who really need help.

Mr. Banagie stressed, “This award was given not only to us but to all these efforts.”
