John Bolton: Trump's ex-security advisor seems to have sounded an internal alarm for Ukraine's fate

Former Russia expert on the White House, Fiona Hill, has described new details of the Ukrainian affair before the US Congress. It was also about the role of ex-security adviser Bolton.

Attempts by US President Donald Trump and his government officials to urge Ukraine to investigate political opponents have not only motivated the later whistleblower to unveil. Apparently, Trump's former security adviser, John Bolton, found the events so alarming that he raised the alarm internally.

This was reported by Bolton's former colleague Fiona Hill at a US Congressional hearing, according to several US media. Bolton was in dispute with US Ambassador to the EU, Gordon D. Sondland, on July 10, the former White House expert on Russia said. The US Democrats had summoned her in connection with the investigations into possible impeachment proceedings against Trump.

Sondland is one of the key figures in the Ukraine affair and is said to have organized the covert campaign against Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden and his son Hunter - along with Trump's private lawyer Rudy Giuliani. The goal was to get incriminating evidence about the US Democrats. About two weeks after the dispute between Bolton and Sondland, Trump's telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Selenskyj took place, which is now the starting point of the allegations against Trump.

Bolton is said to have called Giuliani a "hand grenade"

Bolton is also said to have instructed Hill to inform the chief adviser of the National Security Council about the plans of Sondland, Giuliani and Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney. "I have nothing to do with any dubious deals that concoct Sondland and Mulvaney," Bolton said to have said loudly "New York Times".

Thus, it was not the first time that the ex-security adviser expressed concern about the campaign under Giuliani's direction. In an earlier conversation, Bolton Giuliani called a "hand grenade" that would "blow up everyone," Hill said.

US President Trump had fired his National Security Advisor Bolton in early September and accused him of acting inappropriately on several foreign policy issues. Relations with Ukraine were not one of them.
