Maduro government increases the minimum wage once again

The Government of the questioned President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, increased the minimum wage to 300,000 bolivars for the entire Venezuelan territory.

(CNN Spanish) - The Government of the questioned President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, increased the minimum wage to 300,000 bolivars for the entire Venezuelan territory.

In a tweet, Francisco Torrealba, president of the commission of workers of the National Constituent Assembly, said that 150,000 bolivars would go to the minimum wage and the other 150,000 to the Socialist Ticket, which is a food bonus.

The increase was published in the Official Gazette last Friday, October 11, 2019 and is retroactive to October 1, 2019

In his Twitter account, the president of the National Assembly, Juan Guaidó, recognized as president of Venezuela by more than 30 countries, wrote that from “Miraflores they continue to make fun of the working people. He secretly announces another salary increase that evidences his economic failure. ”

In Venezuela, 300,000 bolivars are equivalent to about 16 dollars.
