US presidential candidate Joe Biden's son, Hunter Biden, has come under pressure to assess the importance of his work in the Ukraine crisis. At the same time he denied in an interview with the broadcaster ABC illegal activities. "Did I make a mistake? By and large, maybe, but have I made a mistake from an ethical point of view?
He had not foreseen how his father's critics would use his business activities in Ukraine and China against him, said the 49-year-old. "I have given some very immoral people an opportunity to illegally try to harm my father," Biden said. This was a mistake for which he took the responsibility. He had never done anything illegal.
Biden also acknowledged having benefited from the fame of his father. Many things in his life would not have happened if his last name were not Biden, said the US businessman.
Where's Hunter? He has totally disappeared! Now looks like he has raided and scammed even more countries! Media is AWOL.
- Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 13, 2019Hunter Biden had not appeared publicly since the beginning of the Ukraine. US President Donald Trump tried to catch him with news on the online Twitter service like "Where is Hunter?" challenge. On Sunday, he broke his silence for the first time and announced that he would resign from his post as a member of the supervisory board of the Chinese investment firm BHR on October 31st.
Hunter Biden was a member of the Board of Directors of the Ukrainian gas company Burisma from 2014 to 2019. Trump suspects the Bidens without mentioning any evidence to have been involved in corruption cases in Ukraine as in China.
