With the participation of Syria, the work of the 141th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and the accompanying meetings in the Serbian capital of Belgrade will continue.
The Syrian delegation includes Deputy Speaker of the People's Assembly Najdah Anzour, Khalid Al-Aboud, Secretary of the People's Assembly and Boutros Morjana, Chairman of the Committee for Arab and Foreign Affairs, Expatriates, and members of the Assembly Samir Al-Khatib, Inas Al-Mallouhi, Saleh Marouf, Anas Zarei, Noor Durra and Khalid Al-Daher.
Morgana stressed that the blatant Turkish aggression against Syria is totally rejected and is considered an invasion of the territory of a sovereign state.
In response to the speaker of the Turkish parliament in the Assembly meeting, Murjana pointed out that the Turkish regime supported the terrorists in Syria financially, militarily and logistically and opened the border for them to attack the Syrian territories, pointing out that the claim of the speaker of the Turkish regime parliament about his country's aggression on the Syrian territories based on the Adana agreement is totally rejected .
At the meetings of the Standing Committee on Democracy and Human Rights, Samir Al-Khatib stressed the need for parliamentarians, as representatives of peoples, to have the active word to stop the greed and brutality of some countries in waging direct or proxy wars or even unfair resolutions through the use of double standards away from humanitarian values and international law. Khaled Al-Daher and Anas Zarei participated in the Inter-Parliamentary Forum of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in its 141st session in the Serbian capital.
On the sidelines of the meetings, Morgana discussed with the President of the Serbian Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee Jarco Obradovic bilateral relations and the great desire to develop joint parliamentary work and the need to develop economic cooperation through cooperation within the International Union and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean.
Obradovic pointed out that a president of the Serbian side of the Syrian-Syrian Parliamentary Friendship Association has been appointed recently to activate the cooperation between the two sides and they are ready to discuss any proposal in the field of bilateral parliamentary cooperation.
Morjana explained the events that have passed on Syria and the blatant interventions of some regional countries in Syria affairs, stressing that the Syrian Arab Army is ready to do its duty to defend Syrian territory.
