Canada condemned the Turkish aggression on Syrian territory, stressing that this action threatens security and stability in the region.

"Canada strongly condemns Turkey's military incursion into Syria and considers that this unilateral act threatens to destabilize an already fragile region and exacerbates the humanitarian situation," the Canadian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The Canadian government also announced that it had suspended the issuance of new export permits to the Turkish regime, especially those related to military equipment, in response to the Turkish aggression on Syrian territory.

A number of Western countries, including Spain, Sweden, France, Germany, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic, have already decided to freeze exports of arms and military equipment to the Turkish regime against the backdrop of its aggression. Britain has also announced a freeze on new arms export licenses.

In turn, the Czech House of Representatives condemned the Turkish aggression on Syrian territory, calling on Prime Minister Andrei Babich to work through the European Union to adopt economic and political measures that force the Turkish regime to stop this aggression.

In a resolution voted by all the 147 deputies who attended the meeting held last night, the council expressed its solidarity with the Syrian people, whose aggression is causing more suffering to him.

For his part, the Vice-President of the Council Wojtek Philippe said that there is no doubt that what the Turkish regime is a violation of international humanitarian law and a total failure of NATO.

Czech Culture Minister Lubomir Zawralik also pointed out that the Turkish regime violated international law and the first article of the basic treaty of NATO, which says that NATO countries must resolve all their differences peacefully, stressing that what he is doing in Syria is illegitimate and an honest reaction. NATO's year of restraint is not enough.

In an interview with Czech television, Zaoralek said talk of an arms embargo on Turkey was not enough and that the time had come for the EU to stand firm and have its own foreign and security policy.

In turn, Top 09 condemned the Turkish aggression, expressing its conviction that the sufficiency of calls for the withdrawal of Turkish troops from Syrian territory is not enough.

The party demanded in a statement the Czech government to work through the European Union to obtain a firm position calling for an immediate halt to what the Turkish regime is doing with the use of all political and economic energies of the Union to pressure towards implementation.

Meanwhile, a recent poll by the widely circulated parliamentary website showed that 92 percent of readers believe Turkey should be expelled from NATO.
