Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stressed the need to preserve the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria and continue efforts to settle the crisis there.
"The fight against terrorism should not be politicized to achieve special goals and it is necessary to find mechanisms to fight it globally," Lavrov said in a speech on the sidelines of a security meeting in Sochi.
