Deputy Chairman of the Association of Russian Diplomats Andrei Baklanov asserted that the Syrian Arab Army has preserved the sovereignty and territorial integrity and is fighting the war against terrorism on behalf of the world.

Baklanov said in a statement to SANA correspondent in Moscow that the great achievements made by the Syrian army against terrorism was not only for Syria but for the whole world.

For his part, Deputy Director of the Institute for the Resolution of Political Crises in Russia Alexander Kuznetsov expressed regret that the "armed groups" in the Syrian island have pledged themselves to the Americans and seemed unable today to face the Turkish aggression, pointing to Russia's steadfastness in its positions towards Syria.
