Russia and Iran today reiterated the need to establish stability in Syria on the basis of respect for its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif stressed in a telephone conversation the need to achieve a long-term and stable stability in northeastern Syria on the basis of respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The ministry added that the two sides agreed to "continue the exchange of views and coordination between the three guarantors of the Astana process on resolving the crisis in Syria, including the launching of the work of the Constitutional Discussion Committee in Geneva."
The Turkish regime launches aggression against a number of cities, villages and towns in the countryside of Al-Hasakah and Raqqa, which resulted in the death and injury of hundreds of civilians, including children, women and workers in the service sectors, and significant material damage to service facilities and important infrastructure such as dams, power plants and water.
