The first stage of the new season of the Syrian scientific Olympics 2019-2020 continued today with the tests of physics, where students from the first secondary grade compete in all governorates and at the school level for an hour and a half at the same time.

SANA monitored the tests in the governorates and from Damascus, Iman Al-Lahham, director of Khaled Aniz Secondary School for Girls said that all necessary measures have been taken to ensure the proper conduct of the tests. A team of Olympic students was formed in his previous seasons to train the students of the current season in addition to the teaching and educational staff who contributed effectively to this. The field is highly appreciated by the students' enthusiasm and enthusiasm to participate in the five Olympics subjects, considering that the Olympics is a useful scientific experience that adds new experiences for students in terms of rich content or test method.

In Sweida, 248 students from the first year of secondary school participated in the tests of physics. The director of secondary education in the Directorate of Education in the governorate of Bassam Salloum said that the students participating in the test represented 40 schools and provided the right atmosphere for them while the physics supervisor and coordinator of the Authority of Excellence pointed out. From the martyr Zaid Karbaj high school in the city of Shehba in Sweida, the high school director Hiam Abou Faour said that 30 students from the school participated in physics with some of them to participate in other specialties and rehabilitation through training sessions before the test.

In Lattakia, 513 students from the first grade of secondary school participated in the physics tests.

In Tartous, 972 students applied for physics tests in the Syrian scientific Olympiad at the governorate level, says Ali Shahoud, director of education in the province.

In Hama, 1042 male and female students from Hama, Idlib and Raqqa governorates participated in the tests, said Yahya Munjid, director of education in the governorate, that the goal of the Olympics is to uncover the talents of scientific excellence among the students and work to develop their abilities and enhance their skills through scientific competitions to choose the most distinguished and efficient. In Aleppo, 1250 male and female students from the first grade of secondary school participated in the tests, where Ibrahim Maso, director of education in the governorate, showed that the tests are well done, providing the comfortable atmosphere for the participating students and distributing them to the halls properly, considering that the Syrian scientific Olympiad is a national project aiming to identify cases of excellence and creativity. Through research and investigation of information on the level of educational curricula, pointing to the increasing turnout and participation in these tests year after year and in Hasakah participated in two hundred and twenty-three students representing twenty-three schools in the cities of Hasaka and Qamishli And their countryside with physics tests.

The Director of Abu Tammam Maher Al-Hamad High School, which has been designated as the center for holding the Olympic competitions in Al-Hasakah province, explained that the test questions focus on the cumulative information obtained by the student during the second cycle of the basic education stage, which includes the seventh, eighth and ninth grades to measure the experiences, knowledge and skills that characterize the students. Subject.

The physics school at Abu Tammam Huda Al-Barni High School indicated that the test questions were comprehensive and sought to measure the student's understanding of the subject.

A number of participating students showed that the questions are easy, comprehensive and fun. Some of them require the realization of the mind and the use of mental skills to reach the correct answer, showing their enthusiasm to pass this test and move to the next stage of the competition.

It is scheduled to conduct chemistry tests at the level of schools on the twenty-first of this month, biology on the twenty-fourth of it and informatics on the twenty-eighth and pass to the second stage at the level of educational complexes a maximum of 50 students in each discipline according to their grades due.

The Syrian Scientific Olympiad competitions are held in a hierarchical and consecutive manner, starting with schools and then at the regional level and then at the provincial level and then at the level of Syria to begin the rehabilitation and training journey starting from the governorates to the central training through the scientific forum held in Damascus in the summer of each year in preparation for international participation. .
