In order to consolidate the culture of cleanliness and highlight the civilized face of the homeland by promoting the initiative to become a positive daily behavior practiced by the student in the home, neighborhood, school and environment, a number of Mezzeh schools in cooperation with the Damascus Branch of Baath Vanguards carried out an environmental clean-up campaign entitled (Let's all start hand in hand the reconstruction of Syria).
The campaign was attended by children and their teachers.
Teachers, pupils and members of the Baath Vanguards Organization participated in the clean-up of the school (Orwa Al-Khabouri), the garden and its public facilities, where garbage was collected and put in special bags in preparation for deportation.
Assistant Director of Education for Basic Education and Vanguards in Damascus, Rana Moussalli, told SANA that the campaign launched since the beginning of the year aims to consolidate the role of society in changing patterns of behavior and negative habits in dealing with the environment, pointing out that the students in these activities in an atmosphere of cooperation and fun Reflects the practical practices enshrined in the health curriculum and creates competition among them for a clean class.
Haitham Rankoussi, head of the Information and Technology Office at the Baath Vanguards Organization, said that the campaign covers all regions and aims to increase the health and environmental awareness among students, which motivates them to transfer the environmental culture of their families and then to the community and contribute to instilling entrepreneurship to move away from wrong behaviors and correct and promote proper communication between students and form The nucleus to instill positive concepts and values.
Reem Al-Diab, secretary at Orwa Al-Khabouri School, pointed out that the school is the second home for children, and therefore we are working to deepen their environmental awareness through activities to keep their school clean.He pointed out that the campaign included washing hands with soap and water and cleaning teeth properly using brush and putty in addition to cleaning facilities. School and its garden so as to teach them the correct behavior to maintain their environment and health.
In turn, drawing teacher Mahmoud Ghanoum pointed out that in cooperation with the students was equipped with an art exhibition that included more than 100 paintings bearing different titles emphasizing the importance of hygiene in our lives and the need to cooperate to keep our environment free of diseases, pointing out that the students were divided into groups Hand drawing and the last line of expressions about cleanliness and their importance in life while another group carried out paintings of handicrafts showing the right habits and wrong habits to maintain our health.
Director of the school (Salim Hassan Shoaib) teacher Ali Al-Ahmed explained that with the start of the school year is the focus and attention to the subject of personal hygiene and cleanliness of classrooms and school and direct children to pay attention to Hendam and hair and cut nails and use sterilizers to maintain good health, adding that we work with students to make attention to hygiene .
Secretary of the martyr Nahla Zeidan Mania Jabbour pointed out that the behavior that students learn is reflected in their order and creates a state of competition between teachers and pupils for the banner of cleanliness for the best and cleanest class.
The children participating in the campaign expressed their happiness to clean their school and decorate it with paintings and beautiful pictures, stressing that the cleanliness of their school and their description gives them a sense of satisfaction and happiness.
