A town that feels like a stretch.

When I visited “Junfeng Village” in the outskirts of Yinchuan, Ningxia, China, I felt that when I saw the houses with white walls lined up.

This village, called “Immigration Village” by local residents, was created in 2017 by a total of 1300 residents from Hankozozo Village in the mountains about 330 km away.

The Chinese government has set the goal of eliminating the poor by 20 years. I walked in a rural village in China this summer to find out about the site.

The first place I visited was the “Immigrant Village”, which looks like the beginning. This is the place of “group migration”, an important policy of de-poverty policy.
