Occupied Jerusalem-Sana
Daily assaults and intense Judaization and settlement activity in the northern West Bank city of Nablus, from the escalation of the Israeli occupation authorities in the area to the leveling of agricultural land, while the settlers cut down olive trees and assault the Palestinians, who assert that these attacks will only increase their steadfastness in resisting Israeli crime.
The settlement official in the northern West Bank, Ghassan Daghlas, told SANA that the settlers are waging a large-scale war against the Palestinians and their lands and farms in Nablus. They recently burned hundreds of olive trees in the town of Burin and seized hundreds of dunums in order to expand settlements and build bypass roads.
Daghlas confirmed that the city of Nablus has been surrounded by 40 settlements and is expanding daily those settlements from which the settlers proceed to carry out their attacks on Palestinian villages and towns in the region.
The head of the village council of the town of Burin Yahya Kadous said that the Israeli occupation authorities started to seize Palestinian lands in the south of Nablus to build bypass roads in order to expand settlements in the area and link them with each other as part of the ongoing aggression aimed at robbing Palestinian land and separating Nablus from the central West Bank. The attacks of the occupation and its settlers will not undermine the steadfastness of the Palestinians and will increase them to cling to their land and resist Judaization and settlement.
For his part, farmer Mohammed al-Asous from Burin narrates some of the crimes committed by the settlers, saying, “Dozens of settlers attacked us while we were harvesting the olive fruits in Burin, and I was injured with a number of the villagers and the Israeli forces arrested me. The settlers did not stop at the brutal attacks. Olive fire led to the burning of hundreds of olive trees ”and the occupation forces prevented fire trucks from reaching Burin to extinguish the fires that devoured about a thousand trees.
Al-Asous stressed that the Palestinian people are armed with steadfastness and steadfastness and resist the settlers and will continue to confront the occupation and its settlers and fail all its Jewish settlement plans.
