(CNN) - Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, took a look at her personal life when she admitted that she had struggled to deal with the repercussions of being a new mother in the spotlight.

ITV released a fragment of its powerful interview with journalist Tom Bradby on Friday. The clip is part of the documentary on the British television channel Harry & Meghan: An African Journey , which will be released in the UK on Sunday.

In the video, Meghan talks about the problems she has dealt with as a wife, mother and duchess whose life has been judged and dissected by the media and the public since she began dating Prince Henry.

"Not many people have asked if I'm ok… it's a very real thing to be going through behind the scenes."

"Any woman, especially when she is pregnant, is really vulnerable, and that was really challenging," Meghan said in the emotional video. “And then, when you have a newborn, you know it. And especially as a woman, it's a lot. ”

"Then, you add this in addition to trying to be a new mother or trying to be a newly married wife."

Holding back tears, Meghan thanks Bradby for asking about the impact the pressure has had on his mental and physical health.

"Thanks for asking. Not many people have asked if I'm fine, but it's something very real that happens behind the scenes, ”he said.

When the journalist asked Meghan if that meant that it was not right, and that "really" has been a struggle, the exam simply says 'Yes'.

After the launch of the moving interview, the #WeLoveYouMeghan hashtag was a trend on Twitter, and hundreds of thousands of people expressed sympathy and support for the 38-year-old mother.

Meghan has been the target of intense public scrutiny, especially of the media.

More recently, Prince Henry and Meghan said they were suing the British newspaper The Mail on Sunday for publishing an edited version of a private letter that Meghan sent to her father.

“Unfortunately, my wife has become one of the last victims of a British sensational press that campaigns against people without thinking about the consequences: a ruthless campaign that has intensified over the past year, throughout the pregnancy and while raising our newborn son, ”wrote Enrique wrote in an online statement.

The documentary, which will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the royal couple's tour of South Africa, will premiere exclusively on ITV on October 20.
