Beirut-Sana

Demonstrations and sit-ins continued in all Lebanese regions for the fifth consecutive day in protest against the deteriorating living conditions and rejection of the paper approved by the Lebanese government during a meeting held today.

Protesters gathered in front of the Banque du Liban in Hamra and Flag Square to denounce fiscal policy, reject government decisions and confirm their demonstrations.

The light square in Tripoli and the areas of Zgharta, Dinniyeh, Akkar and Koura witnessed a growing influx of protesters after the decisions of the cabinet session were announced at Baabda Palace while the Jbeil highway opposite the Rahbani Pharmacy continued to be cut in both directions.

In Hermel, protesters again blocked the way to the government-run Hermel, raising national flags and shouting slogans rejecting the "reformist paper."

In Batroun, the number of protesters on the highway under the hospital bridge increased and a large number of people from the villages and towns of Batroun came. The highway in Chekka is still closed with obstacles and cars parked in the middle of the two lanes.

Hundreds of protesters gathered in the town of Kousba, while large numbers of demonstrators arrived at the Jounieh highway.

During a meeting in Nabatiyeh, the leaderships of Hezbollah and Amal called for "solidarity, cooperation and responsibility to bring the country out of its crisis", noting that the demonstrations should not be derailed.
