Natural wastewater treatment systems are one of the most effective ways to secure usable water and remove contaminants from wastewater. This helps to protect the environmental reality and in the first experiment of its kind started in Tal Al-Durra and Tal Al-Tout in Salamieh countryside in Hama, the experimental operation of two natural plants.
Engineer Lilian Halabi, director of the branch of the General Company for Water Projects “Central Region” implemented the two projects in a statement to SANA reporter that the results of the operation of the two stations appear after a year with the gradual expansion of cultivation of the plant in the ponds in line with the rehabilitation and training of cadres to operate them, pointing out that the amount of water contained The two stations have about 2700 cubic meters of water per day and are designed to accommodate abundance until 2035 with the possibility of future expansion by establishing a third basin.
Halabi noted the experience of establishing these two plants, especially that the cost of less than their counterparts of mechanical treatment plants at a rate of ten and this would reduce expenses and large costs can be after the success of the experiment generalized to the rest of the province, noting that the plant used in water treatment is characterized by adaptation and growth in fresh and polluted water And its ability to refine and purify water efficiently.
For his part, Wahid Al-Yousef, director of the General Company for Sanitation in Hama, said that the Al-Durra treatment plant works to purify the sewage water and make it suitable for irrigation with a water board of 1200 cubic meters per day. Side of the project serves a total value of about 350 million pounds, pointing out that the treatment plant of Tel Ras with an area of 25 dunums and a water board 1500 cubic meters per day and serve several areas, including New Hill, Fretan, Eastern and Western land, and Tel Berry indicating that the total value of 550 million pounds Central to conduct laboratory analyzes, measure pollution indicators and compare results between inlet and treatment water.
Tel Al-Durra and Tal-Al-Tout stations are environmentally friendly as wastewater filtration and refining do not produce any liquid, solid or gaseous pollutants. They also provide job opportunities for the people of the region, in addition to exploiting the water produced by refining to irrigate crops.
