Iraq and Norway signed today an agreement for economic and investment cooperation between the two countries.

"Iraq and Norway signed the oil-for-development agreement," Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi's office said in a statement received by SANA.

In a press briefing with Solberg, Abdul Mahdi stressed his country's need for international support against terrorism.

He pointed out that "the victory over terrorism prevented the transfer of terrorist groups from the region to the rest of the world."

For her part, stressed the Prime Minister of Norway commitment to partnership with Iraq in the fight against terrorism, noting that she discussed with Abdul Hadi ways to solve problems in the region.
