(CNN) - The president of the British Parliament, John Bercow, announced that the motion presented by the government to present a significant vote on Brexite will not be discussed or voted on Monday.

Bercow explained that there was a matter of substance and circumstances.

"It is clear that the motions are substantial, they are the same" as the one presented on Saturday, he said, and concluded that there had been no change in circumstances since then.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson hoped to put his agreement on Brexit to vote today in Parliament, but with this decision, Bercow blocked it as he said "it would be repetitive and messy" to vote.

“In summary, today's motion is substantial, just like Saturday’s motion and the House has decided the matter. Today's circumstances are basically the same as Saturday's, ”said Bercow.

"Therefore, my decision is that the motion will not be discussed today, since doing so would be repetitive and messy."

Jonson requested a delay of brexit from the leaders of the European Union after a parliamentary amendment ruined his plans on Saturday.
