(CNN) - Prince Henry of Great Britain has recognized tensions with his older brother, Prince William, for the first time, saying they are on "different paths."

Enrique made the comments in an interview with Tom Bradby of ITV, recorded during the recent trip of the Dukes of Sussex to Africa. The interview was part of an hour-long ITV documentary that aired on Sunday.

Bradby asked: “There has been a lot of news in the press about fighting with your brother. How much of that is true?

Enrique replied: “Part of this role, part of this job, this family, being under pressure from what is happening, things inevitably happen. But we are brothers. We will always be brothers.

“We are certainly on different paths at this time, but I will always be there for him, and as I know, he will always be there for me. We don't see each other as much as we used to, since we're so busy. But I love him very much and you know that most things are probably, well, most things are created from nothing. But as brothers, one has good days and bad days. ”

There have been rumors in the tabloids of a rift between the brothers, but more often those rumors refer to the wives of the brothers, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge.

The alleged crack has been cited as one of the reasons why Enrique and Meghan moved from Kensington Palace in May, but a CNN source close to both duchesses said it had more to do with Enrique wanting greater independence and Guillermo He needed his own team in preparation for the change of reign, when his father became king.

At an event of the royal foundation in February 2018, Enrique and Guillermo suggested that if there were disagreements they were between the brothers and not between the wives.

The ITV documentary included an interview with Meghan in which she took a look at her personal life, admitting that she has struggled to deal with being a new mother in the spotlight.

"Any woman, especially when she is pregnant, is really vulnerable, and that was really challenging," Meghan said in the video. “And then, when you have a newborn, you know it. And especially as a woman, it's a lot. So, you add this in addition to trying to be a new mother or trying to be a newlywed. ”

Meghan was excited when Bradby asked about the impact it has had on her mental and physical health.

"Thanks for asking. Not many people have asked if I am well, but it is something very real to spend behind the scenes, ”he said.

When the journalist asked Meghan if that meant that it was not right, and that "really" has been a struggle, the former actress simply said "Yes."
