Beirut-Sana

Demonstrations and sit-ins continued in all areas of Lebanon for the fifth day in a row against the deteriorating living conditions.

The protesters flocked this morning to Riad El Solh and Martyrs Square in central Beirut, with major roads cut off between the capital and the suburbs.

The main roads in Khaldeh and the entrances to Doha Aramoun, Chamoun, Choueifat, Deir Kobel and the Beirut Airport Highway were closed at 5 am with two obstacles and large stones.

In turn, the Traffic Control Room announced the interruption of the roads within the high range in Sofar, Ruwaisat Sofar, Bhamdoun, Dhour El Abbadiya and Aley Roundabout.

In Sidon, protesters blocked a number of main and secondary roads in the city to emphasize continued movement and protest.

On Thursday, the Lebanese started their sit-ins and protests over the deteriorating economic situation in the country and the Lebanese cabinet's decisions to impose new fees, including charges on communications.
