The Syrian Secretariat for Development is participating in the national campaign for the early detection of breast cancer in Sweida through the adoption of three centers to conduct free tests that have attracted more than 500 women since the beginning of October.
Abu Karam said that the number of beneficiaries from the centers since the beginning of the campaign reached 550 women with the transfer of suspected cases to the National Hospital in Sweida to complete the investigations, pointing to the provision of free transportation for women from Manara Shahba center to the approved centers where volunteers distribute awareness brochures on the examination mechanism Self-breast.
Ghazal Kerbaj, one of the volunteers in the Secretariat, pointed out to provide a comfortable atmosphere for the beneficiaries and organize them according to the role and priority of the situation.
While in a testing center, Insaf Abu Hamra said that the campaign, in addition to its role in raising awareness of early detection of cancer, highlighted the importance of maintaining women's health and care, stressing the need to continue for a longer time to benefit the largest number of women, while Raghida Fadlallah Zinedine She came to the center and encouraged other women to come and check on their safety.
The national campaign for the early detection of breast cancer kicked off in early October, the month of global awareness of the disease through free tests and awareness sessions in health centers and community in all governorates.
