Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Leuven renewed the call to stop the Turkish aggression on Syrian territory, stressing that this aggression is contrary to international law.
"Turkey's actions are irresponsible and contrary to international law and have resulted in serious humanitarian consequences," Leuven said on his Facebook page, pointing to joint demands with the European Union for the withdrawal of Turkish troops from northern Syria.
He noted that there is no military solution to the crisis in Syria and that peace and stability can only be achieved through dialogue.
In an interview with German TV channel ZDF, German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas reiterated that the Turkish aggression on Syrian territory does not comply with international law, stressing the need to stop it.
