Russian President Vladimir Putin reaffirmed the need to preserve Syria's sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, and that all foreign forces on its territory must exit illegally.

Putin stressed during a press conference with the head of the Turkish regime Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Sochi today that the establishment of sustainable stability in Syria only through the commitment to respect its sovereignty and territorial integrity, this position is principled for Russia, pointing out that the Syrian territory should be free from the illegal foreign military presence.

Putin reaffirmed the necessity of finding a political solution to the crisis in Syria and that only the Syrians decide the future of their country.

The Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres announced on the twenty-third of September last to reach an agreement to form a committee to discuss the Constitution, noting the efforts of the Syrian government in this regard.

He called on the international community and UN organizations to provide assistance to them without any discrimination, politicization or preconditions.
