Bolivia's President Evo Morales has won the first round of the presidential election in Bolivia, more than 10 points behind his opponent, Carlos Mesa.
"We have won the first round," Morales told AFP at a news conference, stressing that the results of the vote count indicate he has the support of a majority of voters.
Morales was leading the results of the presidential elections held on the twentieth of this month with 45.28 percent of the votes.
