Berlin-Sana
The head of the German Social Democratic Party (SPD) Malo Dreyer has called for economic sanctions against Turkey over the aggression of its regime on Syrian territory.
"If Turkey does not stop its aggression, economic sanctions may be the next step," Dreyer said in a statement published by the German newspaper Basur Neue Presse. "Stopping EU arms shipments shows that Turkey is becoming increasingly isolated."
For his part, the head of the Social Democratic Party bloc in the German parliament Rolf Motzenic stressed that there is no justification for the aggression of the Turkish regime on the territory of northern Syria and said that “EU leaders agreed not to grant additional permits to export arms to Turkey and I think there is a need for an arms embargo at the European level. The customs union with it is also under scrutiny. ”
Since the ninth of this month, the Turkish regime has launched an aggression against a number of towns, villages and towns in the countryside of al-Hasakah and Raqqa, which resulted in the death and injury of hundreds of civilians, including children, women and workers in the service sectors, and significant material damage in service facilities and important infrastructure such as dams, power plants and water.
