Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said during a meeting with his Venezuelan counterpart Nicolas Maduro that the resistance of the Iranian and Venezuelan peoples has foiled US conspiracies.
"By resisting America we have learned a great lesson," Rowhani said during a meeting in Baku, Azerbaijan, on the sidelines of the 18th summit of the Non-Aligned Movement.
"Iran and Venezuela have been and will continue to support each other in international and political forums," he said.
The Iranian president stressed that America has not been able to achieve its aims and plans in the region, starting from Iraq and Syria and ending with Palestine, Afghanistan and Yemen.
Rouhani said in a statement yesterday before leaving Tehran to the Azerbaijani capital Baku that the Iranian people will not yield to the plots of enemies, especially the United States.
