(CNN in Spanish) - At 1:05 am this Saturday, a platform where eleven Mariachis played at the Cantina La 15 restaurant in Bogotá, collapsed. The eleven members of the Mariachi group and a restaurant worker were injured in the events, according to a statement issued by the restaurant.

The platform has the ability to go up and down between the four floors of the place. At the time of the accident, the platform was on the third floor, at a height of about 9 meters.
CNN in Spanish spoke with Paola Celis, a local media journalist, who was currently at the establishment. Celis was on the third floor, the Mariachi group had just played "El Rey", by Vicente Fernández, and before starting a new song the platform collapsed. Celis remembers the great rumble and a cloud of dust seconds after the accident.

The establishment was closed immediately and customers were evacuated.
According to a statement from the El Country Clinic, the health center closest to the scene, “five people who were injured in an accident that occurred at a nighttime establishment in the area were transferred to our Emergency Department.

“All patients have been treated by a multidisciplinary team made up of orthopedics, general surgery, emergency medicine, neurosurgery, family medicine and all the required health professionals. Of the patients, two have already been discharged, two are in hospitalization for observation and recovery, and one patient has undergone surgery and is also in recovery. The rest of the information is part of the medical record, ”says the statement from the El Country Clinic.
For its part, the restaurant publicly stated that “Authorized staff of Cantina La 15 is monitoring each case and providing the necessary support to their families”.
