(CNN in Spanish) - This Friday was one of the most popular protests so far in Santiago, Chile. The official death toll was 19 and the country's president, Sebastián Piñera, continues to call for peace and announce measures.

Some protesters protested with creativity and that is reflected in the posters that many of them took to the demonstrations.

The Chileans protested on the eighth day of protests. President Sebastián Piñera announced measures to improve social inequality, however, unions called for a strike across the country and mass demonstrations continued as the death toll reached 18. The demands behind the protests include issues such as medical care, pension system, water privatization, public transport, education, social mobility and corruption.
