The Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces thwarted an attack by the Islamic State terrorist organization on the Abbasi area of Kirkuk province in northern Iraq today and caused heavy losses.
The Iraqi Alsumaria News website quoted the Iraqi Popular Mobilization as saying that "the 56th Brigade of the crowd repelled an attack by elements of the terrorist organization Daesh on a number of points and inflicted heavy losses on terrorists."
Last week, Iraqi forces dismantled an ISIS terrorist cell in Kirkuk province and thwarted a terrorist plot by the Takfiri criminal organization and killed two suicide bombers in Samarra.
