President Bashar al-Assad referred to the People's Assembly today the draft state budget law for fiscal year 2020 for submission to the parliament.
The Council of Ministers discussed in its session held on October 20 this year the draft law of the state budget for the fiscal year 2020, both current and investment, where the appropriations were set at a total amount of 4000 billion Syrian pounds, an increase of 118 billion pounds over the 2019 budget.
The state budget for next year included appropriations estimated at 15 billion Syrian pounds for the Social Aid Fund, 10 billion for the Agricultural Production Support Fund, 337 billion for financial support and oil derivatives, and 83 billion to support economic institutions affected by terrorism.
The state budget allocations for the current fiscal year amounted to 3882 billion Syrian pounds.
