Russia's permanent representative to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) Alexander Shulgin announced that terrorists are preparing for a new chemical provocation in Idlib province, recalling that talk of using chemical weapons begins with every progress and achievement made by the Syrian Arab Army on the ground against these terrorists.
"In Idlib, the terrorists are preparing for a new chemical provocation," Schulgen told reporters. "This is part of the attempts of terrorists and their supporters to send an investigation team that accuses Russia and Syria of being responsible."
Syria renewed its strong condemnation of the use of chemical weapons on the ninth of this month and expressed its deep concern about the attempts of some countries, led by the United States to continue to make baseless accusations and marketing false allegations and fabrications against Syria.
"The Syrians know that chemical munitions enter the country and they know from which countries they are coming and the names of the people responsible for the provocations being prepared are reported," Schulgen said.
Syria's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Dr. Bashar Jaafari, spoke in December about some countries' blindness to more than 160 letters sent by the Syrian government to the UN Secretary-General, the Security Council, the 1540 Committee and the Counter-Terrorism Committees on the possession and use of terrorist groups. The Security Council has not taken any action against the sponsoring, sponsoring and funding States.
