According to EU Council President Donald Tusk, the EU states have agreed on a Brexit postponement until the end of January. This is a flexible extension that could force Britain to exit sooner in the ratification of the exit agreement negotiated with the EU.
The EU27 has agreed that it will accept the UK's request for a #Brexit flextension until 31 January 2020. The decision is to be formalized by a written procedure.
